on saturday, it's muratec festival 2006 and it's 運動会 (athletic meet) day! tug-o-war, jumping rope, obstacle course are just some of the events.

nba 2006-2007 season opens on october 31. my three yahoo! fantasy teams are all set for the opening day although i have still some pending trade transactions and i am planning to create one more team maybe around november timing :-)

now, it's time for our predictions then let's review when the season ends.

alvin's predictions :

while nash, lebron, kobe and wade are the favorites to win the MVP award, i'll pick my fantasy franchise player - shawn marion. it's quite a long shot for the "matrix" but maybe, maybe this is the time for shawn to shine.

as for the rookie of the year, i'll pick brandon roy. a marion look-alike :-)

and of course, i will be cheering for the suns.

instead of a chocolate fountain in coconut palace, bibingka and puto bumbong would be the best replacements! kindhearted friends/sponsors are most welcome and really appreciated :-)

basketball :
spain captured their 1st world championship title last september while usa settled for bronze.

baseball :
japan took the 1st wbc trophy last march while usa did not make it to the final four.

tennis :
absolutely, federer (switzerland) in men's singles this year.
right now, no american player in top 10 in women's singles.

volleyball :
brazil bagged their 3rd straight women's volleyball grand prix title last september while usa was not even in the final round.

soccer :
italy won over france for the 2006 fifa world cup crown last july while usa did not win a single game in the elimination round. well, soccer/football is europe.

cycling :
floyd landis' tour de france 2006 crown is still in question.

f1 :
for sure, it's alonso(spain) and/or schumacher(germany) for 2006.

billiards :
of course, bata,django and a bunch of filipino cue artists.

i was busy closing deals with our suppliers while rish had to finalize some items with our coordinator plus her attempt on DIY stuffs which i believe it is still in planning stage ;-)
